Well guess what? We are the lucky ones, 10 more inches of snow tonight. Just what I need.
The Wormguy is going to write about an internet horror story today.
This horror story occured Wednesday night. For the last month or so this pop up appeared on my computer screen, 2009 Anti Virus. I kept deleting it and it kept getting harder and harder to delete. You would delete one screen and another one would pop up. The screens kept poping up more and more. Then Wednesday night the screen poped up again ,this time I couldnt delete it. The screen said I had a virus and they would get rid of the virus for $49.99.
I caled comcast and the said they couldnt do anything and then I called Dell and they said the warantee had run out on my computer and for $249.?? they could get rid of the virus.
If this wasnt extorsion I dont know what extorsion is. Another words I couldnt use my computer until I paid these crooks something. I ended up paying 2009 Anti Virus.
Did this hapen to anybody else?
What can we do as a team about this?
Please tell me your thoughts and any other problems.
If there are enough of us we can stop this. But it will take a lot of us. So come on join the fight against internet horrors. These people make enough money without stelling ours.
