Its still snowing and very cold, !5 Degress F.
This is not an internet story but it is one of deep concern.
I went to wally world to pick up my medication yesterday and upon returning home I looked at the manufacturer of this medication and it was manufactured in Canada and shipped to New Jersey for distibution. This really takes the cake.
We as individuals cannot buy Canadian medication because it is not as safe as ours. less inspection, less standards. Large corporation can bring the cheaper medication down from Canada and put a large markup on it and resell in the U.S.
Did you know that the government ( VA ) cannot negotiate with the drug manufacters for better pricing on drugs they provide to veterens. Wally Wal Mart can do all the negotiating they want and get the price down to $4.00. I am a vet and should get my medication from the VA. The Va told me to get my medication from Wal Mart its cheaper. Know wonder our drugs are so expensive. Does this make any sence? Any thoughts on this subject? I only hope Obama can straighten this mess out, although I doubt it very much.
