We have another storm coming Wednesday Whoop pea.
Today I will tell you about Worms and gardening. Adding Red Wrigglers and Euro nightcrawlers to your garden is one of the smartest and enviromentally friendly things you can do for your garden. Each worm under good condtions produces its own weight in their daily castings.This is one of natures finest plant nutrients. Castings contain 7 times more phosphates, 5 times richer in nitrogen and 11 times richer in potash and a lot of microbes and organisms than is in .your average 12″ of topsoil. If you put the worms on your lawn , garden or potted plants they will burrow neat little tunnels that let moisture,oxygen and nutrients reach the plant roots.They actually eat the dirt and turn it into rich healthy natural manure, which I and others call black gold. If you use these castings you can throw out those nasty chemical fertilizers and go organic, for your health and the enviroment. Black gold is rich in vitamins which will transfer into your plants, flowers will have brighter colors , fuller blooms and stronger stems. Vegetables will be healthier,bigger and taste better. Youll sleep better knowing youre doing yourself and your grand children a big favor by eliminating chemical fertilizers.
