My last blog was about Burnham Boilers and the trouble I am having. I said this before but whatever you do read the reviews before you buy.

Well my replacement boiler came in today. Now i have a V7 Burnham boiler and I recieved a V8 boiler so I called Burnham and told them about there mistake. According to them its no mistake, they no longer make the V7 so they sent me the updated V8. Come to find out the V8 is going to take some extra piping. The installation of the boiler and added piping is going to cost $1500.00. Something wrong here. So Im trying to find a lawyer to fight this. What do you think will happen? Ill keep you informed of my progress.

Come on people Im not the only one with these problems. Lets hear some of yours. This is a good place to vent your frustrations and get it off your chest.

It must be me, I have all the luck. does anybody else have anything to complain about. Let me tell you about my latest adventure. Burnham boilers. As you have probably guessed I have one. Feb 17,2009 my boiler started leaking after 9 years. I didnt know much about boilers so I looked in my instruction manual and kinda get the impression it might be under warantee. I called customer service at Burnham, they said I had to call one of there contractors and they would come out and look at the problem and make an evaluation. So I called the contractor and told the secretary my problem, she said somebody would get right back to me. Mind you Im in Maine with no heat and hot water. Well anyway nobody calls back so I called again. This time Kevin will get right back to me. Nobody calls back. Nobody in the office till tomorrow. I decide to go to Home Depot and see if they have something. I bought some boiler sealer and all you have to do is remove the relief valve pour the sealer in and your all set. When I releast the relief valve water went every where. So now i dont Know what to do for tonight. The next day the contractor calls me and tells me the facxtory rep has to look at it first and hes on vacation till Tuesday, this is Thursday morning I call bernham back and they tell me the rep doesnt have to look at it. Now Im really steaming, so I call my oil man and he says he can get a new boiler from Burnham free of charge including shipping.  My house is pretty cold by now, so I called my homeowner insurance (Liberty Mutual) and she says they have to send out an adjuster. All I want to know is if the problem is covered . It cost money to send somebody out to see if Im covered. Well any way hes still not here. So I drain all the water out of the house and put the Home Depot sealer in the boiler and turn the water back on and start the boiler and low and behold no leak. Do you think I can tell my oil man to keep the new boiler when it comes in Wednesday and save it for me. When my boiler goes again he can install it then. Nobody knows I have heat and hot water. If you read the reviews on Burnham Boilers this happens every 7 to 10 years reguarly. Why dont they correct the problem? According to my oil man this happens all the time. If you have any answers or have had this problem please let me know.

As i said before I recieved my refund from Worms Wrangler after a long hassle.
Sandelwood ent, Howdy and Worms Wrangler are all 1 company i think. Worms Wrangler makes you dealer, some guy named Steve, then you buy wholesale thru Sandlewood ent, Wholesale, you can buy cheaper Red Worms over the internet. They cant even ship the worms half of the time. They say they sell Guasanito worm factorys.made in the US. They are made in China. If you get them in the cold and drop it, it shatters like glass. You can always buy replacement parts.
I need to hear from you about these people, so we can stop them.
Does anybody have anything to say about
Worms Wrangler
Doba
Eden Pure Heaters

Well I finally went ice fishing, my son and I drove to Dresen Me., which is an hour and half drive to catch 20 tiny smelts. They smelts in Great Bay run about 10″ to 12″ long, those didnt make 6″. I guess I really wanted to go ice fishing badly.
They temperature has finally warmed up to about 40 degrees. What a mess mud and potholes
Back to worms
Our Worm tea or vermiliquid is collected by spraying water on the worm pits. This combination of water and worm urine as well as other nutrients are combined and recycled. The end result is a liquid plant and soil enhancer that can be diluted to a 1 part worm tea to 50 parts of chlorine free water. 1-50 ratio or 1/3 cup of worm tea to 1 gallon of water. The water must be chlorine free. If you are in an area that has chlorine in the water, let the water set outdoors for 24 hours to dissipate the chlorine, For best results in using this worm tea , spray in the late afternoon to avoid the immediare exposure to UV rays. This will give the worm tea more time to work.

As I mentioned i finally recieved my refund from Worms Wrangler ( Howdy and Sandelwood Ent) after a long hard battle. I still find it hard to believe that a company that size runs out of worms and leaves you hanging.
Im still waiting on the return shipping label from Eden Pure Heaters;. Thats been about a week. Believe it or not, somebody called me Friday from Eden Pure to find out how I liked the heater. You can guess my reply. I feel sorry for those people like that, that call and have know idea what is going on.
That should bring you up to date. Now let me tell you some of the other tricks. A company, Homestead and Doba and more will give you a free trial. They ask for a credit card just in case you keep it. Anytime during that 30days you decide to cancel and you call them to cancel, nobody answers the phone. This runs you over your 30 days so they can bill you. If your lucky you only get one bill. Doba gets 3or 4. The only thing you can do is cancel that credit card or bank account I cancelled doba the same night I applied and didnt get a cancellation until they got $150.00 out of my account. No wonder they are the largest drop shipping company in the world. I could be the second largest in the world at $150.00 for doing nothing per person. WOULD YOU LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR MY COMPANY JUST GIVE ME AUTHORIZATION TO GO INTO YOUR CREDIT CARD OR CHECKING ACCOUNT.
I still havent heard anybody elses complaints. Come on speek up dont be afraid.

Today we shall continue our discussion on Harvesting Compost.
The third way to harvest compost is the top down method, this is a variation of the side to side method.

3 Cut a trash bag open ( so its a single sheet), poke holes with a pen or pencil. b Place the trash bag over a new bin thats been prepared a week or so in advance with the food and bedding. It needs to have microbes for this to work. c Dump the old bin on top of the trash bag and let sit for a few days. d. The majority of the worms will have burrowed down into the new bin, looking for food. You can speed up this process by placing a light over it You can use anything with holes large enough for the worms to crawl thru.
4 Stacking if youhavent bought a stacking system by now. You can make your own. a.Poke holes in a plastic container, your new bin b. Place it on top of your old bin so the compost is in contact with the bottom of the new bin.c. Feed only the top bin, after a few weeks, most of the worms will be in the top bin.

If anybody knows of any other way to do this, please let us know.

Well I finally got my refund from Worms Wrangler after many, many, many EMails and a lot of days. Its funny how I can pay them with one click on my key board and a big outfit like that takes a week. Its also very funny why one of the largest worm distributors in the country cannot ship worms. I can see if it was a big order, but it wasnt. Another thing, they have smaller farms all over the country that drop ship for Worms Wrangler, none of these had worms? If I was you Id stay away from the largest worm distrubuter in the country that cannot ship worms. Something wrong with that picture.
Another thing is Eden Pure heaters. They finally said after many, many Emails again they said a week ago that the would send me a shipping label so I could return this piece of junk and have this piece of junk fixed at no cost to me.
Guess what Feb 04,2009 and no shipping label.
If you go to my blog wormguy today.com, you will see they are both advertising on my page. Whats this all about?
Come on, I need some help.

Feb. 4, 2009

Its snowing again.
Today lets talk about Harvesting Compost. There are quite a few different ways of harvesting compost. Today we shall discuss two of them.
1 Multiple piles- No advanceed preparation needed, but this way takes the longest A. Dump the contents of your bin on to a tarp, table or work bench, separate into multiple piles. B wait a while , while the worms are burrowing in to the pile away from the light. Sun, Light bulb, etc. Remove just the tops of the piles and wait awhile longer and remove the tops again. By the time you are down to the last pile, the worms in the first pile will have had time to burrow down. C Repeat this process until you have a ball of worms at the bottom of each pile and a little or no compost.

2 Side to side- Some advanced preparation is needed, but its quicker than option #1 A Move the contents of the bin to one side,of the bin and add fresh bedding and food to the other side. B A month or so later, most of the worms will have moved to the side with the new bedding and food is and then you can use method #1 to separate the few worms that are left.

Tomorrow will shall discuss furthter options.

Remember FEED ALL OF YOUR GARBAGE TO YOUR WORMS AND STARVE THE LANDFILL. THIS WILL HELP REDUCE THE METANE GAS GIVEN OFF BY YOUR LANDFILL.

Its the first of February already. From now on its all down hill as far as winter is concerned. On the news the other night they said it was the coldest January in 85 years. The average temp for the month was 28 degress, Its hard to believe that this January was that bad. It was bad alright. That bad?
Well what about worms? One question a lot of people ask is. How often do I feed my worms? You should feed your worms as often as they eat up the last batch of food. You can feed them as often as every few days, just check and make sure the last batch is gone before you add any more. If your bin starts to smell you are feeding them to much. Worms can survive a long on just the bedding you have provided them. The less you fuss, the better they will do there job. If you have a smaller bin it is usually best to pull back some bedding, adding the food and then covering the food with lots of bedding

More about my troubles with Worms Wrangler, its not over yet. Today is Sunday and I still havent got my refund. Steve said he would release the money Friday, which in itself was unexceptable. Here it is Sunday and still no money. Steve said he released the money Friday and its still not in my account.
A company like Worms Wrangler or Howdy or Sandelwood Enterprises, whatever the name is cant refund $102.00 and ship 5lbs of red worms. Something wrong with that picture.
You can buy those worms for $84.00. I just thought I would try them out. Next thing I know Im in this mess.
Why would a legitimate company need three names?
What else can I do to get my money back.
Worms Wrangler (Steve) said I should go to Pay Pal and see where my refund was. Why should I? When its there responsibilty to see that I get my refund.
I wish there was something I could do. I cant file a complaint with Ebay because it was bought thru there website. All I can do is try and tell people to stay away from people like this. Thats the reason for this blog, I cant do it all alone, but if I just put this on every piece of mail, email listing I do, it will hurt them a little.
I need some more people to join in and tell everybodt who did what to them. I think we can do a lot of harm if there are enough of us.
So please tell me some of your horror stories.
