The Wormguy
Jan. 4 2008
As expected I raise and sell Red Worms and Euro Nightcrawlers. Ive been doing since Dec, 2008 and enjoy it very much. I not only enjoy raising them but I enjoy the idea of making something better, healthier, lively and larger. I try a lot of different things with my worms. Different containers, food, breeding habits and so on. Worms also do a lot for the enviroment. They eat your garbage and turn it into valuable castings (black gold ), They help reduce methane gas coming from the landfill therefore reducing the landfill itself. They improve the quality of our plants and vegetables. Plants will be bigger, stronger, have more blooms with much better color. Vegetables will be larger, stronger, have a better root system, bear more fruit, e more nutricious be healthier and be more nutricious.
Worms give reptiles, birds, fish both aquarium and pond fish, turtles a lot of protien if added to there diet.
I have been reading and researching two areas in composting.
kitchen scarps veg, coffe grounds etc. I think I undestand this and will be moving foreward soon on this.
the second is the dog soon to be dogs if my wife finds a wheaton terrier puppy. The yard is a huge minefield. I saw an artile about doing the platic trash can thing with a rolling cover like in a restroom. they talk about sptic started and very little about worms. this would be used for flowers. u do not do any produce farming. are worms not acceptable for dog remains?
will worms multiply effectively to increase to increase kitchen garbage and dog(s) remains.
should I do two composts which is what I am thinking. I would have to in the winter anyway.
